Storytellers Macon Presents: Lies My Teacher Told Me

In the world of education, teachers sometimes tell small fibs—stories that aren't quite true but serve a purpose. The topic "Lies My Teacher Told Me" explores these little fabrications that teachers share with their students. Whether it's claiming they have eyes in the back of their heads or warning that misbehavior will go on a "permanent record," these lies often carry a hint of humor and a lesson.

At our upcoming Storytellers Macon event at Grant's Lounge, we'll share and reflect on these teacher tales. The stories range from the amusing and absurd to the well-intentioned and educational. They reveal how teachers use creativity to manage classrooms, engage students, and sometimes just add a bit of fun to the school day. Join us as we recount these playful deceptions and consider the impact they had on our understanding of authority, rules, and sometimes, the joy of a good story.
