My Resume by Anonymous:
Good afternoon, and thank you so much for considering me for this position. I’ve seen the work your company does around the city, and I would love to be a part of it all.

Allow me to share a bit about myself—I hold a master's degree in project management, I am proficient in all things Microsoft, and I thrive in collaborative group settings.

I am a single mother of two beautiful daughters. I’m a great friend and a wonderful sister. I own a home just a few blocks away, so making it to work in a timely manner would never be an issue. I know these are things you didn’t ask for in the job description, but I think it’s important that you know.

I’m not spiritual but I wish to be, and I have a hard time trusting others even if I’ve known them for a good while. On the surface, I am gentle and kind, but underneath, I am a raging storm begging to be quelled.

At my core, I embrace the values of compassion and empathy. I hold up traffic to let a goose and her goslings cross the road safely, I chase down the man who dropped his card in the line at Starbucks, I do good deeds for the sake of doing good deeds. I know these are things you didn’t ask for in the job description, but I think it’s important that you know.

I am more than my title and I am deeper than my previous accomplishments. I am wilder than my career experiences and I am more well-rounded than just my job skills. I would provide statistics, but I’m not sure you can measure your life in only numbers.

Thank you again for this opportunity and I look forward to speaking with you further about this position.
