Story Circles, Race and Culture in YOUR Generation | Senior Edition
Storytellers Macon along with Wesleyan's Center for Social and Racial Equity is holding a free Storytelling workshop for seniors approximately aged 60+.
The oral tradition of speaking our stories to each other is our most ancient form of communication, culture, and persuasion. In this workshop will move us through a progression of storytelling basics, including structure, vulnerability, and details. Participants will practice deep listening and cultivate personal stories. We will discuss how personal stories build empathy and community identity.
This workshop will offer the opportunity to interested participants to be cast as a featured teller for Storytellers Live: Wesleyan College show event as part of a generational two-part series "Still Bending the Arc" on February 25th.
